4Korners Jiu-Jitsu Membership Agreement
This Membership Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between 4Korners Jiu-Jitsu ("Academy") and the enrolling member, or the parent/legal guardian of a minor member ("Member").
By checking the box indicating acceptance of this Agreement and completing enrollment, the Member agrees to be legally bound by the terms set forth below.

Membership Options
The Member shall select one of the following membership options during enrollment.
Option A — 12-Month Commitment Membership
Enrollment Fee
A one-time enrollment fee of $599.00 is due at enrollment. The enrollment fee covers onboarding, academy materials, uniform package, administrative processing, and other enrollment-related expenses. The enrollment fee is earned upon enrollment and is non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Tuition
Annual tuition for the twelve (12) month membership is $2,548.00. For convenience, tuition may be paid through fifty-two (52) weekly payments of $49.00 each.
The Member understands and agrees that:
- The annual tuition obligation is $2,548.00.
- The weekly payment schedule is a payment convenience only.
- This membership is a twelve (12) month commitment and is not a week-to-week membership.
- Tuition obligations continue for the entire twelve-month term regardless of attendance.
- No membership freezes, pauses, holds, suspensions, or extensions are permitted.
- The twelve-month membership term begins on the date of enrollment and continues for twelve (12) consecutive months.
Option B — Month-to-Month Membership
Enrollment Fee
A one-time enrollment fee of $599.00 is due at enrollment. The enrollment fee covers onboarding, academy materials, uniform package, administrative processing, and other enrollment-related expenses. The enrollment fee is earned upon enrollment and is non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Monthly Tuition
Monthly tuition is $299.00 per month. Monthly tuition will automatically recur until cancelled.
The Member may cancel the month-to-month membership at any time by providing at least thirty (30) days written notice. Notice must be submitted to: info@4kbjj.com
The Member remains responsible for all charges incurred during the thirty-day notice period. No refunds or prorated refunds shall be issued for unused training time.
The Academy reserves the right to modify month-to-month pricing upon thirty (30) days prior written notice.

Payment Authorization
By enrolling, the Member authorizes 4Korners Jiu-Jitsu and its designated billing provider to charge the payment method provided for all fees, tuition payments, and other amounts due under this Agreement.
The Member agrees to maintain valid payment information throughout the duration of membership. Failure to maintain valid payment information does not relieve the Member of payment obligations.

Right to Cancel Within Three Business Days
The Member may cancel this Agreement within three (3) business days after enrollment by providing written notice to: info@4kbjj.com
Any refund due shall be handled in accordance with applicable law.

No Freezes or Membership Holds
The Academy does not offer membership freezes, pauses, holds, suspensions, extensions, or temporary membership interruptions.
Members remain responsible for all scheduled tuition payments regardless of:
- Attendance
- Vacations
- Travel
- School activities
- Work obligations
- Schedule conflicts
- Temporary injuries
- Temporary inability or decision not to train
The Member acknowledges that membership fees support ongoing operational expenses, staffing, facility costs, and program availability.

Missed Classes
No refunds, credits, extensions, makeup classes, or tuition reductions will be provided for missed classes.
Membership grants access to training opportunities and does not guarantee attendance.

Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment is declined, disputed, returned, reversed, charged back, or otherwise unpaid:
- The Member remains responsible for the payment.
- Membership privileges may be suspended until the account is brought current.
- The Academy may charge any processing fees permitted by applicable law.
- The Academy may pursue collection of unpaid amounts through lawful means.
Important
For members enrolled under the 12-Month Commitment Membership, failure to attend classes does not eliminate the obligation to pay the annual tuition commitment.

Class Schedules and Facility Operations
The Academy reserves the right to modify:
- Class schedules
- Programs
- Curriculum
- Instructors
- Operating hours
- Training formats
The Academy may close temporarily for:
- Holidays
- Competitions
- Instructor training
- Maintenance
- Weather events
- Emergencies
- Circumstances beyond its reasonable control
Such changes shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or reduction of tuition.

Member Conduct and Code of Conduct
The Member acknowledges that maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming training environment is essential to the Academy's mission and agrees to comply with the 4Korners Jiu-Jitsu Code of Conduct at all times while participating in Academy activities.
Respect for Others
Members shall:
- Treat all students, instructors, staff members, and visitors with courtesy and respect.
- Refrain from intimidation, harassment, bullying, threats, or name-calling.
- Respect training partners regardless of skill level, age, rank, gender, or background.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive training environment.
Gym Etiquette
Members shall:
- Follow Academy customs and mat etiquette.
- Keep personal conversations at a reasonable volume.
- Avoid disrupting instruction.
- Follow instructor directions promptly and respectfully.
- Exercise self-control and good sportsmanship.
- Understand that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes technique, control, and safety rather than excessive force.
Appropriate Behavior
Members shall not:
- Engage in inappropriate physical contact outside authorized training activities.
- Push, slap, grab, or engage in horseplay.
- Run or engage in disruptive behavior inside the facility.
- Make inappropriate comments, jokes, gestures, or remarks toward any student, parent, instructor, staff member, or visitor.
- Engage in conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or unsafe environment.
Hygiene and Uniform Standards
Members agree to:
- Maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Wear clean training attire.
- Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed.
- Remove jewelry, watches, and accessories before training.
- Follow Academy uniform requirements.
- Refrain from wearing shoes on the training mats.
Safety Requirements
Members agree to:
- Prioritize safety at all times.
- Tap early and respect a training partner's tap immediately.
- Stop training immediately if instructed by an instructor.
- Report injuries or unsafe conditions to Academy staff.
- Participate only in activities authorized by instructors.
- Remain aware of their surroundings and avoid interfering with the training of others.
Positive Attitude and Team Culture
Members are expected to:
- Encourage and support teammates.
- Accept instruction and feedback respectfully.
- Demonstrate humility and a willingness to learn.
- Leave ego outside the Academy.
- Contribute positively to the Academy community.
Enforcement and Disciplinary Action
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Verbal Warning
- Written Warning
- Temporary Suspension
- Removal from Specific Classes or Programs
- Permanent Expulsion
The Academy reserves the right to skip any disciplinary step and impose a more severe consequence when circumstances warrant.
Repeated violations, bullying, harassment, threats, violence, unsafe conduct, property damage, or behavior that negatively impacts the safety or operation of the Academy may result in immediate expulsion.
Important
Suspension or expulsion for disciplinary reasons does not automatically release the Member from financial obligations under this Agreement to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Minor Members
If enrollment is completed for a minor, the parent or legal guardian:
- Represents that they have legal authority to enroll the minor.
- Accepts financial responsibility for all obligations under this Agreement.
- Agrees to all terms on behalf of themselves and the minor.

No Guarantee of Results
The Academy makes no guarantee regarding:
- Belt promotions
- Competition results
- Self-defense ability
- Fitness improvements
- Weight loss
- Athletic performance
- Any specific training outcome
Results depend upon attendance, effort, consistency, physical ability, and instructor evaluation.

Electronic Consent
The Member agrees that checking an acceptance box, clicking an enrollment button, providing an electronic signature, or otherwise completing the online enrollment process constitutes the Member's electronic signature.
The Member agrees that such electronic acceptance has the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature.
The Member consents to receiving notices, disclosures, agreements, and communications electronically.

Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding membership and supersedes all prior discussions, communications, representations, or understandings.
No verbal statements by instructors, staff members, or representatives shall modify this Agreement.
Any modification must be made in writing by the Academy.

Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas.

Acknowledgment
By Checking the Agreement Box and Completing Enrollment, I Acknowledge and Agree That:
- I have read this Agreement in its entirety.
- I understand the membership option I have selected.
- I understand my payment obligations.
- I authorize recurring payments using my selected payment method.
- I understand that the 12-Month Membership is a twelve (12) month commitment.
- I understand that the $599 enrollment fee is a one-time fee and is separate from tuition.
- I understand that no membership freezes, pauses, holds, or extensions are available.
- I acknowledge that attendance is voluntary and does not affect my payment obligations under this Agreement.
- I have read and agree to comply with the 4Korners Jiu-Jitsu Code of Conduct.
- I understand that violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the Academy.
- I understand that suspension or expulsion for disciplinary reasons does not automatically release me from financial obligations under this Agreement to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- I consent to conducting this transaction electronically.
- I agree that my electronic acceptance constitutes my legally binding electronic signature.
- I agree to be legally bound by this Membership Agreement.
- If I am enrolling a minor, I represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor and have authority to enter into this Agreement on the minor's behalf.
